BIKE DONATIONS
Providing Columbia residents access to bicycles
Having a bike can mean being able to get to work, maintain a job, stay in school, participate in before- or after-school activities, visit the doctor, or buy groceries. As of now, Local Motion is not accepting bike donations.
Here are a few local resources that accept bike donations and refurbish them for individuals in need.
Bike to the Future is a program through Love Columbia that tunes up bikes, and gives them to individuals who need bikes for transportation reasons.
CoMo Bike Co-op is a city-run organization that repairs old bikes, and sells them for a low price to community members. You can drop off donated bikes at the back of the Armory on Mondays from 2 – 6 p.m.
City of Refuge passes on donated bikes to refugees in need. You can donate bikes Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
A bike can change the life of someone with limited access to transportation.
