Bikesgiving

Donate a bike to support the transportation needs of our community.

Saturday, May 11, 2024

We're partnering with the CoMo Bike Co-op to host our first-ever bike donation drive. The CoMo Bike Co-op is committed to increasing transportation independence and recreational opportunities through bicycle ridership, especially for Columbia’s most underserved individuals. They take donated bikes, repair them, and get them back into the community!

Have a bike in your garage or basement catching cobwebs? Donate it at Bikesgiving! Stop by anytime between 12:00 and 3:00 pm at the CoMo Bike Co-op to drop off your donation!

What can you donate:

  • Adult-sized bikes
  • Bike parts
  • Bike trailers
  • Rear cargo bicycle racks or baskets

The CoMo Bike Co-op does not accept toddler/adolescent-sized bikes or adult tricycles.

The CoMo Bike Co-op is committed to sustainability with its services. Here are some numbers on their sustainability from January 2018 to December 2023:

  • 2,407 individuals offered free walk-in bicycle repair services
  • 1,179 bicycles received via donation or landfill diversion efforts
  • 721 repurposed bicycles distributed to new owners via sales of gifting to non-profit organizations
  • 20,405 lbs of scrap metal diverted from landfill
  • 1,053 volunteer hours served
